Musical Storytime

Tuesday, the three of us went to Musical story time at the Central Library downtown. This was my first time inside the main library building, it was very cool. The childrens area has a huge play area where Bill enjoyed himself. Bill was on the young side for the story time, but he enjoyed it.

Go Daddy go!

Mommy, those are big bears

Could you please fire up the grill, there are fish here

There I was...

Standing on a frozen ledge, my eyes blinded by the chilly breeze, my grip loosening from the chilly surface. I stretched to my limit, reaching for the..... Mayo.

Conundrum

Do you take the Kleenex box away and save it from destruction or do you enjoy watching him have tactile fun?
I suppose the answer is pretty simple really. Oh well, add Kleenex to the grocery list.

The Easy Life

A bottle in your mouth and an ear of corn in your hand.

Bill is now able to walk while you hold 1 of his hands for balance. I'm betting he will be able to do it on his own by September 1.

Ahhh, Insurance Fun Part II

Back in June, I blogged about my fun trying to get the insurance companies to pay the money they owed our doctor. Link
Well, It isn't over yet. Premera said they were going to fix it, they accepted that Regence had claimed the Aaron Act or something so that Premera was the primary and sole provider as far as we were concerned. Well, after more than a month they didn't do anything to fix the billing. We got another bill from the doctor asking for the same $77.06.

I called Premera, talked to Faith. She was very nice. She is going to call back after they do research and find another reason they don't feel like paying the doctor.
We'll see what they come up with.

Back home

Ah, back home after a long car drive. Summer is only barely here in Seattle this week, temps in the 70's.

Bill is standing all over the place.

Pendleton Visit

We just got back from Pendleton and a nice visit with Bill's Great Grandmother. Saturday, we had breakfast at Mckay Creek and then got picnic lunches and headed up to Emigrant Gap to enjoy the views. Daddy got to go for a run, which was nice because it was at altitude and the temp was just about perfect for a run. Then we went back to the Red Lion and enjoyed the pool.

My biggest highlight was when we were swimming. I had Bill on the top step of the stairs into the pool. He climbed up onto the top step with about 3 inches of water on top of it and grabbed the edge of the pool. He stood up using the edge of the pool, and then levitated on two feet for a few seconds. I thought I was going crazy, it couldn't be possible. But Steph and Mrs Sanders saw it as well.

Now that we are back home, Bill is getting into all his toys and activating all the electronic ones like a mad composer.

Rest area foolishness

It is pretty typical now for Bill to want to hold the leash. He also likes to pull Butch in close to inspect his tags.

Crash

Mommy and Daddy were enjoying their morning tea in bed reading the paper this morning whilst Bill played around on the floor. Across the bed, Daddy spotted the floor lamp falling like an old growth caught by a logger's chainsaw. Crash! Luckily the bulb didn't break and everyone was OK.
And the baby proofing rolls on.
